Higher Education Specialist (Navigator)

This position is primarily responsible for recruiting and connecting incumbent early childhood care and education workforce members with appropriate Early Childhood Education (ECE) programs at 2- and 4-year institutions to obtain additional degrees, licenses, and credentials and to connect them with ECE Scholarship Opportunities. The Higher Education Navigator is a full-time, non-exempt position that may require some weekend and evening hours. Position may offer and/or mandate remote work at times. Should have a reliable internet connection at home and familiarity with digital platforms.

Education and Experience Requirements: Must possess a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university, and have two (2) years of experience in early childhood care and education, counseling/social work, family support, adult education, or higher education.

Community Support Specialist

As a Community Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing services that support and assist potential child care clients and child care providers to determine their eligibility and guide them through the process to meet the State of Illinois requirements for subsidized child care or to become a licensed child care provider. The person in this position is the first point of contact for all customer interactions regarding the Child Care Assistance Program guidelines and regulations, providing services on a wide range of programmatic issues through phone calls and/or in person office visits. Eligibility Specialist

As an Eligibility Specialist, you will primarily be responsible for carrying out work in all phases of the Child Care Assistance Program, including assisting parents and child care providers as required; handling assigned case load; and processing all related documentation pursuant to the Child Care Assistance Program. Eligibility Specialists can provide services on a wide range of programmatic issues through phone calls and/or in-person visits. The Eligibility Specialist is a full-time, non-exempt position.
