Infant Toddler Child Care Specialist

This position is primarily responsible for working directly with child care providers to plan and implement continuous quality improvement within their child care program, with a specialty in infants, toddlers, and two-year-olds. The Infant Toddler Child Care Specialist (ITCCS) works as part of the Quality Services Team to improve the quality of care in programs throughout the service delivery area by providing on-site consultation and technical assistance, by collaborating with providers via phone, email, virtually,and in-person, and by providing trainings to assist providers in their personal growth as care givers and educators. The ITCCS is a full-time, non-exempt position that may require some weekend and evening hours. Applicants must hold a valid Driver's License and appropriate vehicle insurance, and be able to travel as assigned throughout the State.

Education and Experience Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree is preferred from an accredited college or university in Early Childhood, Child Development OR a related field: child psychology/behavioral sciences, family consumer science, social work, elementary education, child welfare, family services, psychology, sociology, human development with a minimum of 18 hours in early childhood coursework. Candidate must have three (3) years of experience working in a licensed child care program including the experience required by the ECE 5 and Infant Toddler Level 4 Credentials with three (3) years working as a family child care provider, center-based administrator, center-based teacher or teacher assistant, or Illinois Preschool for All teacher. Candidate shall hold the Gateways to Opportunity ECE Level 5 and the ITC Level 4 credentials OR have the ability to complete within 18 months of employment.

Provider Services Specialist

This position is primarily responsible for recruiting and connecting potential and current early childhood care and education workforce members with appropriate professional development opportunities, Early Childhood Education (ECE) programs at 2- and 4-year institutions to obtain additional degrees, licenses, and credentials and to connect them with the best ECE pathway. The Provider Services Specialist is a full-time, non-exempt position that may require some weekend and evening hours. Applicants must hold a valid Driver's License and appropriate vehicle insurance, and be able to travel as assigned throughout the State.

Education and Experience Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree is preferred from an accredited college or university, and have two (2) years of experience in early childhood care and education, counseling/social work, or family support, however candidates with an Associate's degree and four(4) years of experience in the early childhood field (caring for children birth to five) will be considered.
